Carlos Be

Carlos Be was born in Vilanova i la Geltrú (Barcelone, Spain) the 4th November 1974.

He is a playwright and director. He has been awarded for plays such as Origami (Born Theatre Award 2006), La extraordinaria muerte de Ulrike M. (finalist from Casa de América - Festival Escena Contemporánea Innovative Dramaturgy Theatre Award 2005) and Noel Road 25: a genius like us (Caja España Theatre Award 2001). He also encourages others genres as novel, tale, script and poetry.

Biography

Carlos Be was born in Vilanova i la Geltrú the 4th November 1974. Carlos Be became a playwright at age 23, when in 1997 he decided to quit the Medical Degree Program to devote himself to writing on a full-time basis.

His plays are published in Spanish, Catalan and Galician.
