Cunday is a Colombian Municipality, located to the east of the Tolima, of great tourist potential, for its low cost of life, good highway, proximity to the capital of the country, excellent climates and kind people.
Inhabited their beginnings by the Indian cundayes, of family Pijao according to Paul Rivet, it was erected initially in rectory of Indians. Don Luis Caycedo, a magnate with economic interests in Saldaña, Purification, Neiva and Bogotá, for the classic system of appropriating of fallow, to fence them and to request possession, it was made to the great majority of properties where today itlodges the municipality.

The population of the municipality was 11,440 as of the [[1993]] census.

Cunday is a town and municipality in the Tolima department of Colombia. Cunday is a Colombian Municipality, located to the east of the Tolima, of great tourist potential, for its low cost of life, good highway, proximity to the capital of the country, excellent climates and kind people. Inhabited their beginnings by the Indian cundayes, of family Pijao according to Paul Rivet, it was erected initially in rectory of Indians.
