Kate Jennings Grant is an American actress, who appeared on Broadway as Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls.[1] She has also made appearances in television and in film, such as her portrayal of a Pfizer representative instructor in Love & Other Drugs [2]

Biography

Katherine Grant was born on March 23, 1970 in Elizabeth, New Jersey.[3] She attended the Juilliard School and the University of Pennsylvania.[4]

Film and television

In 1998 she appeared in the 7th episode of the 1st season of the HBO series Sex and the City as Alison Roth in the episode "The Monogamists".[5]

She played Diane Sawyer in the 2008 film Frost/Nixon.[6] She appeared in the 2010 film Love and Other Drugs and The Rebound in 2009.[7][8]

She has made appearances in TV shows such as Law & Order, Supernatural, Cold Case, Damages, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Rescue Me, White Collar, Royal Pains, The Carrie Diaries, Alpha House, and Law & Order: SVU. She also appeared as a SWAT Team Leader in 2015 in the 16th episode of the 5th season of the CBS police procedural drama Blue Bloods on the episode In The Box".[9]

Stage

Grant appeared on Broadway in An American Daughter as "Quincy Quince", and in Proof as "Claire", from July 2, 2002 - January 5, 2003, both as replacements. She appeared in Guys and Dolls in 2009 as "Sarah Brown", The Lyons in 2012, The Country House in 2014, and Noises Off officially opening in January 2016.[4]

Shortly after graduating from Julliard, she appeared in the 1996 US tour of the musical Applause, as "Eve", with Stefanie Powers.[10] She appeared Off-Broadway in Wonderland in 1999, Hard Feelings in 2000, Summer of '42 in 2001, Radiant Baby in 2003, The Beard of Avon in 2003, Between Us in 2004, and The Marriage of Bette and Boo by Christopher Durang in 2008.[11]
