Matthew K. Olson (born March 29, 1994) is an American professional baseball first baseman in the Oakland Athletics organization.

Career

Olson attended Parkview High School in Lilburn, Georgia.[1] He was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the first round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft.[2][3] He made his professional debut that season for the Arizona League Athletics and also played for the Vermont Lake Monsters that season. He played in 50 games and hit .282/.352/.521 with nine home runs.

In 2013, Olson played for the Beloit Snappers.[4] In 134 games, he hit only .225/.326/.435 but with 23 home runs and 93 runs batted in (RBI). Olson started 2014 with the Stockton Ports.[5]
