Shadow Play made his racing debut on [[21 June]] [[2007]] in Charlottetown, PEI. With owner/trainer Dr Ian Moore at the controls, he powered away from a field of maiden pacers to win by 4-1/2 lengths.

The highlight of his year was a 3rd place finish in an elimination of The Metro Pace at Mohawk. Stricken with another outside post, Shadow Play never really got into the race despite pacing his own mile in 1:51-3/5.

On [[12 April]] [[2008]], Shadow Play surfaced for his sophomore year with an eye-catching 1:58 qualifier in Charlottetown, where he was 14 lengths the best. He returned to the track one week later to make his parimutuel debut, where he once against overpowered the field by 13 lengths for a 1:56 victory.

Shadow Play's next start came in the Diplomat Pacing Series at [[Woodbine Racetrack]] in [[Toronto, ON]] where he return a winner in a new career best 1:52-1/5. After winning both his starts in the initial legs of the Diplomat, Shadow Play was sent away as favourite in the final where he finished a fading 4th.

On [[1 July]] [[2008]], Shadow Play made his racing debut for high-profile trainer Mark Ford. Leaving from the outside at [[Pocono Downs]], a 5/8-mile track in [[Wilkes-Barre, PA]], Shadow Play finished an impressive third after being parked every step. The winner, [[Upfront Hannahsboy]], set a new track record for 3-year-old colt & gelding pacers by virtue of his 1:49-2/5 victory.


Because I watchlist the article, I won't protect the article myself due to a possible conflict of interest. I believe the level of vandalism isn't really enough to warrant indefinite semi-protection. I imagine the admin looking at the case will either decide there isn't enough IP vandalism, or they may semi-protect for a week or two. Yeah, sometimes vandalism slips under the radar for a bit, and it stinks when it happens (and it even stinks more when it's basically my fault for missing it, even though I had reverted other vandalism). Hopefully, this will be a wake up call. If things DO get worse, it can always be re-requested for an indefinite protection. We can also ask participants on the main Jesus article to please watchlist the article to help fight vandalism. Let's wait and see what a 3rd party admin thinks of your request. On [[1 August]] [[2008]], Shadow Play created buzz around the racing world with his eye-popping victory in an elimination of the Coors Delvin Miller Adios. With leading Grand Circuit driver David Miller in control, Shadow Play eased off the gate before making his move. Clearing just before the half, Shadow Play opened up by 2 lengths on the field and maintained that advantage as he powered home in a world record, for 3-year-old colt & gelding pacers on a 5/8-mile track, 1:48-2/5. This mile was 2/5-seconds from the all-aged world record, and tied the 2nd-fastest mile on a 5/8th-mile track ever. He returned 8 days later to capture the $350,000 final of the Adios with a time of 1:50-4/5.

In his first heat of the [[Little Brown Jug (horse racing)|Little Brown Jug]], Shadow Play tied Mr Feelgood's stakes record of 1:50 scoring over Badlands Nitro. Though that record was broken in the next race, by Lonestar Legend, Shadow Play returned to capture the [[Little Brown Jug (horse racing)|Little Brown Jug]] winning the second heat in a time of 1:50.1, setting a new two-heat world record for 3-year-old pacing colts.

There is an anon/user who continues to revert to [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Criticism_of_Christianity&diff=170048760&oldid=169254029 his revision], which removes sourced information and replaces it with unsourced text. Most interestingly, he eliminates sources he disagrees with and claims that we must adhere to NPOV. To him, apparently, "adhering to NPOV" entails removing all views in opposition to his, which are decidedly Christian.
[[10 October]] [[2008]] marked another milestone for Shadow Play as he returned a first-up winner over Badlands Nitro in the $275,000 [[Windy City Pace]] at [[Maywood Park]]. The time of 1:50.4 sets a new stakes record, lowering the 1:51.3 mark set in last year's edition by [[Booze Cruzin]].

Would you please undo the punctuation changes you made at 02:28 ("Bible reference templates and punc. consistency")? They go against Wikipedia rules ([[WP:PUNC]]). Please clean up also some unintended results of your changes: the additional "{{"s that you can see in some of the footnotes and the redlink you have created in the "Ecumenical statement" section by writing <nowiki>"{{bibleref21|Corinthians|12:13}}".</nowiki> Though I don't see the point of some of your changes, in particular (since the display remains exactly the same as before) that of adding a space after the title of each section, I don't want to use an overall revert to remedy the matters that I am requesting you to fix yourself. Re:Need for protection

Because I watchlist the article, I won't protect the article myself due to a possible conflict of interest. I believe the level of vandalism isn't really enough to warrant indefinite semi-protection. I imagine the admin looking at the case will either decide there isn't enough IP vandalism, or they may semi-protect for a week or two. Yeah, sometimes vandalism slips under the radar for a bit, and it stinks when it happens (and it even stinks more when it's basically my fault for missing it, even though I had reverted other vandalism). Hopefully, this will be a wake up call. If things DO get worse, it can always be re-requested for an indefinite protection. We can also ask participants on the main Jesus article to please watchlist the article to help fight vandalism. Let's wait and see what a 3rd party admin thinks of your request. Criticism of Christianity.

Hey again. There is an anon/user who continues to revert to his revision, which removes sourced information and replaces it with unsourced text. Most interestingly, he eliminates sources he disagrees with and claims that we must adhere to NPOV. To him, apparently, "adhering to NPOV" entails removing all views in opposition to his, which are decidedly Christian.

I'm a little irked about the whole thing, because he left this message on my talk page, which left me rather offended (considering, in part, the earlier ending). I don't easily take offense, but when my intelligence in a matter is called into question, especially concerning belief, it strikes a nerve.

In any case, however, I'm assuming that he will persist in his changes, so I thought you might want to know about it, for the sake of NPOV treatment of religious articles.--C.Logan 06:19, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

  • WikiProject Christianity Coordinators : The project coordinators are generally responsible for maintaining all of the procedural and administrative aspects of the project, and serve as the designated points-of-contact for procedural issues. They are not, however, endowed with any special executive powers, nor with any authority over article content or editor conduct.The Lead Coordinator bears overall responsibility for coordinating the project; the Assistant Coordinators aid the Lead Coordinator and focus on specific areas that require special attention.
    • The nomination period for coordinators is currently ongoing at Election 2008
    • Nominations for open positions will be open through 23:59 (UTC) on April 30 and project members should vote for any candidates they support by April 11 2008.
    • The election will be conducted using simple approval voting. Any member of the project may support as many of the candidates as they wish. The candidate with the highest number of endorsements will become the Lead Coordinator (provided he or she is willing to assume the post); the next four candidates will become Coordinators.
  • Two new workgroups formed - Indian Christianity and Methodism
  • Portal:Indian Christianity launched.

Your edit to USAFA

Your recent edit to the United States Air Force Academy article added worthwhile content, but also undid my edit that was added 25 minutes earlier. Why did you erase my changes? I feel that linking those three ranks to US-specific articles, when the article is clearly talking about members of the US military was proper and made the article better. Welcome to the Sixth issue of the WikiProject Christianity newsletter! Use this newsletter as a mechanism to inform yourselves about progress at the project and please be inspired to take more active roles in what we do.

Luckily, you all won't have to see my comments very often, as very little I have to say is really that important. But I would like to take the opportunity to say that I hope everyone finds the new General Forum page useful for discussing ideas relevant to Christianity in general, and feels free to make any additional comments regarding general Christianity there. Also, if any of you feel that you want to place a comment here in the future, please let us know what you want included. We would encourage all members to get more involved and if you are wondering what with, please ask. Use this newsletter as a mechanism to inform yourselves about progress at the project and please be inspired to take more active roles in what we do.

Welcome to the Eighth issue of the WikiProject Christianity newsletter! Use this newsletter as a mechanism to inform yourselves about progress at the project and please be inspired to take more active roles in what we do.

As many of you will know, we currently have several articles relating to the same basic topics. The articles in the Category:Baptism are one example of such. It is really in the interests of all of us to try to place as much content in the main article of such topics, and then have the other articles "branch off" from there and making the central article as good an article as possible. We also now have a proposal for a new general "Christianity" related award, similar to the Military history project's chevrons, at Wikipedia:WikiProject Christianity/General Forum. Baptism

Would you please undo the punctuation changes you made at 02:28 ("Bible reference templates and punc. consistency")? They go against Wikipedia rules (WP:PUNC). Please clean up also some unintended results of your changes: the additional "{{"s that you can see in some of the footnotes and the redlink you have created in the "Ecumenical statement" section by writing "{{bibleref21|Corinthians|12:13}}". Though I don't see the point of some of your changes, in particular (since the display remains exactly the same as before) that of adding a space after the title of each section, I don't want to use an overall revert to remedy the matters that I am requesting you to fix yourself.
