(1767) Lampland is a main belt asteroid. He was born on September 7, 1962 at the Goethe Link Observatory at Brooklyn (Indiana) within the Indiana Asteroid Program of the Indiana University discovered.
The asteroid was named in honor of Carl Otto Lampland (1873–1951), an American astronomer and professor.
