(1831) Nicholson is an asteroid of the main belt , which the Swiss astronomers on April 17, 1968 Paul Wild , from zimmerwald observatory of the University of Bern was made, discovered.
The asteroid is named after the American astronomer Seth Barnes Nicholson (1891–1963).
