Ágnes Salamon (archaeologist)

Ágnes Salamon ( 1923 - June 18, 1986 ) was a Hungarian archaeologist .

Live and act

Ágnes Salamon received a diploma in museology from the Eötvös Loránd University in 1950 . She then worked at the History Museum in Budapest and from 1953 at the Hungarian National Museum in the collection on the migration of peoples . From 1960 she was a research assistant in the research group for archeology of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences , headed by László Barkóczi , which later became the Archaeological Institute. She worked in particular during the early migration period and on subjects related to Roman provincial archeology , especially the province of Pannonia and the Barbaricum . In 1983 she finished her work at the Archaeological Institute.
