Álvaro del Peral
Álvaro del Peral López (born April 16, 1937 ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of a striker .
career
Del Peral began his football career with San Luis FC , who played in the second division between 1957/58 and 1960/61 . When the club withdrew from professional football for the first time in 1961 , Del Peral moved to league rivals Refinería Madero , with whom he barely missed promotion to the top division in the following three seasons . In the fourth season (1964/65), at the beginning of which Catarino Tafoya returned to Ciudad Madero after two years in Guadalajara , the long-awaited promotion to the football club succeeded. The Strumduo consisting of Del Peral and Tafoya and the fact that the team remained undefeated in all 30 championship games played a decisive role in this. In the end, the team from Ciudad Madero had an advantage of eight points over the Petroleros de Poza Rica .
The storm duo also played the next two seasons in the first division for the club, which has now been renamed CF Madero , but could not prevent relegation at the end of the 1966/67 season .
