Ángel Spinoglio

Ángel Spinoglio (born April 4, 1931 in Canelones , Uruguay ; † May 31, 2012 ) was a Uruguayan entrepreneur and politician.

Spinoglio was born to Juan José Spinoglio Ricci († 1948) and Delfina Marenco Dicci . His parents were descendants of immigrants from Piedmont . He completed his school education at the Liceo Joaquín Suarez . In 1957 he married Blanca Perdomo, with whom he had five daughters and four sons.

Spinoglio worked as a wine entrepreneur in the family business established in Uruguay in 1904 by his grandfather Luigi Spinoglio Mazzucco, who immigrated to Uruguay in 1880, and his grandmother María Ricci , which Ángel Spinoglio took over in 1949 after his father's death. Spinoglio joined the Partido Socialista in 1950 , to whose central committee he was a member from 1994. In 1971 he was also a co-founder of the Frente Amplio. Spinoglio had in the 43rd legislative period from October 14, 1991 to November 14, 1991, from June 1, 1992 to July 1, 1992 and again from September 1, 1993 to October 1, 1993 a mandate as deputy representative - he represented Ramon in each case Legnani - holds the Canelones Department in the Uruguayan Chamber of Deputies . Twice, in 1994 and 2000, he stood as a candidate for the Frente Amplio in Canelones in the elections for the Intendencia Municipal of Canelones .
