Ásmundur Bjarnason
Ásmundur Bjarnason (born February 17, 1927 in Húsavík ) is a former Icelandic sprinter .
In 1948 he retired from the Olympic Games in London in the run-up to the 4 x 100 meter relay .
At the European Athletics Championships in Brussels in 1950 , he was fifth over 200 m and in the 4 x 100 meter relay .
In 1952 he came at the Olympic Games in Helsinki over 100 m , over 200 m and in the 4 x 100 meter relay not beyond the first round.
At the EM in 1954 in Brussels, he reached the semi-finals over 100 m and 200 m.
