Halina Martha Jäkel

Halina Martha Jäkel (born September 21, 1989 in Groß-Gerau ) is a German actress and director .

Live and act

Jäkel grew up on her father's organic farm in the Odenwald. She completed a degree in physical theater - an interdisciplinary course that includes theater, performance and painting - at the Folkwang University of the Arts . She graduated with an Artist Diploma in 2018 and then moved to Berlin, where she now lives and works as a freelance artist. Her own pieces are also shaped by socio-political issues and debates.

During her studies she played in various theater productions in Düsseldorf , Bochum , Frankfurt , Stuttgart , Karlsruhe and Ramallah .

In the 2017/2018 season she was a regular guest in the production Men Who Think of the Oberhausen Theater. After graduating from Folkwang UdK, she was invited to Hamburg as an actress in The Contracts of the Merchant by Elfriede Jelinek for the young talent award of the Körber Studio Junge Regie.

In addition to her acting work, she and her sister, the dancer and musician Hannah Jäkel, develop experimental music theater productions that were performed at the ZKM Karlsruhe .
