Ásta Árnadóttir (born June 9, 1983 ) is an Icelandic soccer player . The defender was last under contract with the Icelandic club Valur Reykjavík in 2010 and played for the Icelandic national team .

Ásta made her debut in the Icelandic league in the 2001 season for the syndicate Þór / KA from Akureyri . In 2003 she moved to Valur Reykjavík . With Valur, she was Icelandic champion in 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2008 and Icelandic cup winner in 2006. For the 2009 season she moved to the Swedish first division club Tyresö FF. In 2010 she played one more game for Valur Reykjavík.

On September 25, 2004, she made her debut in an international match against the USA in the Icelandic national team. She made her last international match on September 17, 2009. In her 36 internationals she did not score a goal.

Ásta is known for her somersault throw-ins . The UEFA took on a training video in which Ásta demonstrated their technique.
