Äetsä [ ˈæɛtsæ ] is a former parish in southwestern Finland . The community center is the village of Pehula. Äetsä was founded in 1981 through the merger of the Keikyä and Kiikka municipalities . At the beginning of 2009, the municipality merged with Vammala and Mouhijärvi to form the new town of Sastamala .

Favored by its location on the Kokemypenjoki River , the area of ​​today's Äetsä has attracted numerous industrial companies since the end of the 19th century. As the share of those employed in industry is above average, Äetsä describes itself as “one of the most industrialized municipalities in Finland”. Finnish Chemicals Oy , founded there in 1937, is now the second largest sodium chlorate factory in Europe.
