Äli Äbdikärimuly Bektajew ( Kazakh Әли Әбдікәрімұлы Бектаев , Russian Али Абдикаримович Бектаев Ali Abdikarimowitsch Bektajew * 20th April 1962 in the village of Jangi Bazaar, Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh politician .

Life

Äli Bektayev was born in 1962 in the village of Jangi-Bazaar in southern Kazakhstan Oblast . He graduated from the Kazakh Agricultural Institute in 1984 . He obtained another degree in political science in 1992 at the Kazakh Institute for Management, Economics and Forecasting .

He began his professional career as an engineer in a stately farm. He became politically active at an early age and from 1985 to 1987 he was the deputy chairman of the Komsomol District Committee in the Sayram District in the southern Kazakhstan Oblast. He then became a trainer of the Communist Party District Committee in Sayram District and Secretary of the Party Committee in the Frunze Farm. From 1990 to 1991 he attended the party college of the CPSU in Tashkent . He then briefly served as an advisor to the Chimkent regional party committee .

Between 1991 and 1992, Bektayev was the deputy general manager of a company and then deputy head of the Qasyghurt District Administration . From 1994 to 2000 he worked for the administration of the South Kazakhstan region. Here he was head of the department for youth, tourism and sport. In July 2000 he became Äkim of Qasyghurt District and in September 2002 he became Deputy Äkim (Governor) of South Kazakhstan. In February 2006 he was appointed mayor of the city of Turkistan . In May 2008 he was again Deputy Äkim of South Kazakhstan. He held this office until October 2014. In August 2015, Bektayev was elected party leader of the Democratic Patriotic People's Party Auyl .

He has been a senator in the Kazakh Senate since October 2014 .
