Ämilian Kloiber

Ämilian Kloiber (born October 19, 1910 in Hürm near Melk , † January 14, 1989 in Linz ) was an Austrian anthropologist and ornithologist .

Kloiber studied anthropology and zoology at the universities of Vienna and Prague. He completed his habilitation in Prague in 1942. From 1949 to 1973 he was director of the biological department of the Upper Austrian State Museum in Linz. In 1965 he became a tit. ao. Appointed Professor of Anthropology with special focus on historical and genetic anthropology at the University of Graz .
