Abramowo ( Russian Абрамово , German  Klein Rudminnen , 1938 to 1945 Kleinruden , also: Dickschen , 1938 to 1945 Lindbach , Lithuanian Žirnupiai ) is a place in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad in the Krasnosnamensk Rajon . It consists of two originally independent places and belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the Krasnosnamensk district .

Geographical location

Abramowo is located between Scheschuppe (1938 to 1945: East River, Lithuanian: Šešupė) and the regional road 27A-025 (ex R508 ), 29 kilometers northwest of the former district town of Pillkallen (1938 to 1946: Schlossberg, now Russian: Dobrowolsk) and eight kilometers west of the Today's capital Krasnosnamensk (until 1938 Lasdehnen , 1938 to 1946 Haselberg ). There is no train connection.

Klein Rudminnen (Kleinruden)

Before 1945, the formerly known as Klein Rudminnen , adjacent to the R 508 in the south, consisted of just a few small farms. The district Brödlaugken was incorporated before 1874 (the place was called Vielwege between 1938 and 1946 ). In 1874 the rural community of Klein Rudminnen came to the Tuppen district (Russian: Podgornoje, no longer exists today). Until 1945 it belonged to the Pillkallen district (renamed "Schloßberg (Ostpr.) District" in 1938) in the Gumbinnen administrative district of the Prussian province of East Prussia .

In 1910 there were 70 inhabitants registered in Klein Rudminnen. Their number decreased to 66 by 1933 and in 1939 for small dogs (as the place was called since 1938) to 57.

In 1945 the place was assigned to the Soviet Union as a result of the war with the whole of northern East Prussia .

Dickschen (Lindbach)

The district, once called Dickschen , in the north of today's settlement Abramowo, borders on the Scheschuppe (Šešupė). Before 1945 it consisted of scattered small farms and farms. Like Klein Rudminnen, Dickschen belonged to the Tuppen district between 1874 and 1945 (Russian: Podgornoje, no longer existent) in the Pillkallen district (Schloßberg district (Ostpr.)) In the Prussian province of East Prussia .

In 1910, 218 residents were registered in Dickschen. Their number decreased to 205 by 1933 and was still 176 in 1939. Abramovo

The two villages of Klein Rudminnen (Kleinruden) and Dickschen (Lindbach) were given the Russian name "Abramowo" in 1947. At the same time Abramowo was classified in the village Soviet Podgorodnenski selski Sowet (Tuppen) in Krasnosnamensk Raion . Later the place came into the Timofejewski selski Sowet . From 2008 to 2016 Abramowo belonged to the rural community Alexejewskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Krasnosnamensk.
