For political-ideological reasons to avoid foreign-sounding place names, Gricklaugken was renamed “Bönick” on June 3rd - officially confirmed on July 16th - in 1938, probably using the historical name of Wilklaugken. In 1945 the village came to the Soviet Union in the wake of the war with northern East Prussia .

In 1947 the place was given the Russian name "Zelenolessje" and was assigned to the village soviet Liwenski selski Sowet in Krasnosnamensk Raion .
