Leskowo ( Russian Лесково , German Rammonischken , 1938-1945 Hagen flow , lithuanian Ramoniškiai ) is a place in the Russian Kaliningrad region and belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Krasnoznamensk in Krasnoznamensky District .
Geographical location
Leskowo is located 17 kilometers northeast of the former district town of Dobrowolsk (Pillkallen / Schloßberg) and ten kilometers southeast of the current Rajon capital Krasnosnamensk (Lasdehnen / Haselberg) on the river formerly known as Feldfließ . The regional road 27A-026 (ex R511 ) runs through the village and the municipal road 27K-299 branches off in town, which leads via Prawdino (Grumbkowkeiten / Grumbkowsfelde) to Nikitowka (Uszpiaunen / Kiesdorf) on the regional road 27A-025 (ex R508 ). Before 1945, Lasdinehlen (1938 to 1945 Sommerswalde , today Russian: Mitschurino) was the next train station on the Pillkallen – Lasdehnen line of the Pillkaller Kleinbahn , which is no longer in operation.

The small village, called Romanesque at the time , was first mentioned in a document in 1595. Before 1945 it consisted of only a few large farms. Between 1874 and 1945 the site was in the District Alxnupönen integrated, the - renamed "District Altsnappen" 1939 - the county Pillkallen (from 1939 to 1945 "County Schlossberg (East Prussia).") In the Administrative district Gumbinnen the Prussian province of East Prussia belonged.
On June 3rd - officially confirmed on July 16th - of the year 1938, Rammonischken was given the new name "Hagenfließ" for political and ideological reasons in order to avoid foreign-sounding place names.
In 1945 the village came to the Soviet Union as a result of the war with northern East Prussia . In 1947 the place received the Russian name "Leskowo" and was at the same time classified in the village soviet Michurinski selski Sowet in Krasnosnamensk Raion . Later the place came into the Pobedinski selski Sowet . From 2008 to 2015 Leskowo belonged to the rural municipality Dobrowolskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Krasnosnamensk.

The residents of Rammonischkens resp. Before 1945, Hagenfliess were almost without exception a Protestant denomination. The village was parish in the parish of the church Schillehnen , which belonged to the church district Pillkallen (Schloßberg) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Today Leskowo is located in the extensive catchment area of the newly established Evangelical Lutheran congregation in Sabrodino (Lesgewangminnen , 1938 to 1946 Lesgewangen) in the provost of Kaliningrad (Königsberg) of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .
