history

Wedereitischken (Sandkirchen)

Bathing place in the shed near Timofejewo (Wedereitischken)

The village called Wedereitischken at the time was initially a very small place. Because of its central location, on July 1, 1901, it was made a parish village with a large parish . A few years later, the elevation to an official village followed - until then Wedereitischken had belonged to the district of Juckstein (today Russian: Kraineje), which was then dissolved. The district Wedereitischken belonged to the district of Ragnit until 1922 , then to the district of Tilsit-Ragnit in the administrative district of Gumbinnen in the Prussian province of East Prussia . The expansion of the roads promoted the development of the town into an economic center, which gained in importance in 1928 , particularly through the construction of the Dr. Rosenkrantz Bridge between Wedereitischken and Galbrasten ( Dreifurt 1938 to 1946 , today in Russian: Liwenskoje).

In 1910 there were 248 residents registered in Wedereitischken. Their number rose to 297 by 1933 and was already 336 in 1939.

On June 3rd - officially confirmed on July 16th - 1938 Wedereitischken was renamed "Sandkirchen" as part of the National Socialist renaming campaign . Only seven years later the place was transferred to the Soviet Union as a result of the war .

Wedereitischken / Sandkirchen district (1909–1945)

By reclassification from the neighboring districts of Budwethen (today in Russian: Malomoschaiskoje), Galbrasten (Liwenskoje), Juckstein (Kraineje) and Kackschen (Sadowo), the new district of Wedereitischken was created on October 15, 1909 , which became the district of Ragnit until 1922 , then - 1939 in “ District Sandkirchen "renamed - the Tilsit-Ragnit district included:

Neu Krauleidszen / Neu Krauleidschen (collecting furnace)

Before 1945, the village formerly known as Neu Krauleidszen consisted of very scattered small farms. Its area enclosed the neighboring town Wedereitischken from north to south in a semicircle.

In 1874, New Krauleidszen was in the newly built office district Juckstein incorporated (Kraineje), then reclassified in 1909 in the District Wedereitischken, and so belonged to 1922 to the county Ragnit , then to the district of Tilsit-Ragnit in Administrative district Gumbinnen the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1910 Neu Krauleidszen had 210 inhabitants, in 1933 there were 194 and in 1939 only 166. On September 17, 1936 the spelling of the place name was changed to “Neu Krauleidschen”, until it was renamed “Sammhofen” in 1938. Neu Krauleidszen used to consist of five small settlements: Mickehnen, Jodjokei, Duselei, Schokelei and Narkutte. At the beginning of the 19th century these joined forces. That should have been the reason for the new place name.

As a result of the war, the village with northern East Prussia came to the Soviet Union in 1945 .

Timofeeva

In 1947 Wedereitischken was renamed Timofejewo and at the same time the seat of a village soviet in Krasnosnamensk Rajon . In the Kaliningrad Oblast of 1976, the former German town of Neu Krauleidschen was also included in Timofejewo. This place is now deserted. From 2008 to 2015 Timofejewo was the official seat of the rural municipality Alexejewskoje selskoje posselenije and since 2016 belongs to the urban district of Krasnosnamensk.

Timofejewski selski Sowet / okrug 1947–2008

The village soviet Timofejewski selski Sowet (ru. Тимофеевский сельский Совет) was established in June 1947. In 1954 the Liwenski selski Sowet was connected to the Timofejewski selski Sowet. In 1960, the disbanded Podgorodnenski selski Sowet (Tuppen) was apparently joined. After the collapse of the Soviet Union , the administrative unit existed as the village district Timofejewski selski okrug (ru. Тимофеевский сельский округ). In 2008 the remaining places of the village district were incorporated into the newly formed rural community Alexejewskoje selskoje posselenije .

church

Church building

The Wedereitischken church was built in 1906/1907. It is an unplastered brick building with a tower and a closed choir with echoes of the architecture of the order .

The church survived the Second World War unscathed, but was then used as a horse stable, granary or material store. The main entrance to the tower has been expanded. Due to a lack of maintenance, the roof collapsed in the late 1990s. In the summer of 2005 the church was transferred to the Russian Orthodox parish. It was restored and consecrated on July 20, 2008 by Metropolitan Kyrill I as an Orthodox church with the name "Svyato Vvedenskaya Church".

Parish

Evangelical

Until 1901 the places of the later parish Wedereitischken were looked after by the church Budwethen (the place was called between 1938 and 1946: Altenkirch, today in Russian: Malomoschaiskoje). The Wedereitischken parish was established in 1902 and from 1904 had its own pastor. The parish existed until 1945 (called "Church Sandkirchen" from 1938) and belonged to the diocese of Ragnit in the parish of Tilsit-Ragnit within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union .

Escape and expulsion of the local population as well as the anti-church religious policy of the Soviet Union made church life in Timofejewo no longer possible after 1945. Today the village is located in the catchment area of the Evangelical Lutheran congregation in Sabrodino (Lesgewangminnen , 1938 to 1946 Lesgewangen) , which was established in the 1990s and is affiliated to the Kaliningrad (Königsberg) provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia .

Orthodox

At the beginning of the 2000s, a Russian Orthodox congregation was formed in Timofejewo , to which the building of the Protestant church Wedereitischken was assigned in 2005. Since 2008 it has been the church of the parish that belongs to the territory of the Kaliningrad and Baltiysk diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church.

school

The community Wedereitischken (Sandkirchen) had its own school building until 1945, in which the children from Neu Krauleidszen (collecting heap) were also taught. Two teachers were last employed here. The school was maintained by a school association consisting of the communities of Neu Krauleidszen and Wedereitischken. About 100 pupils received lessons here.
