The Åreskutan is a mountains in the municipality of Åre in the Swedish province of County of Jämtland and has a height of 1,420.10 meters. It is possible to take a cable car up to a height of 1274 meters. The highest café in Sweden is on its summit. Åre lies at the southern foot of the Åreskutans .

One of Sweden's largest ski areas is located on the slopes of Åreskutans. In summer you can go mountain biking on the ski slopes. There are also many marked winter and summer hiking trails.

Neighboring mountains are Mullfjället in the west and Renfjället in the south . To the east, Åreskutan forms the beginning of the fell. The Indalsälven flows along between Åreskutan and Renfjälet . Kallsjön lies north of Åreskutans .

Åreskutan as a type locality
