Éber Moas , full name Éber Alejandro Moas Silveira , (born March 25, 1969 in Montevideo ) is a former Uruguayan football player .
Career
societies
The 1.85 meter tall midfielder or defensive player Moas was part of the Danubio FC team from 1988 to mid-1991 . During this period, the Montevideans won the 1988 Uruguayan championship. In the championship season, he played 24 games in the Primera División and scored seven goals. Then he played from 1991 to the end of June 1994 for CA Independiente , was used 65 times in the Argentine top division and scored two goals. This was followed by a career at América de Cali until mid-1995 . With the Colombians he played in 33 league games (no goal). In the following two years, CF Monterrey from Mexico was his employer, for whom he hit the opposing goal once in 62 league appearances. Then he signed the EC Vitória from Brazil , in which he participated in 15 league matches (no goal). In mid-1998 he returned for a year to CF Monterrey and was used 17 more times (no goal) in the Primera División . In July 1999 he moved back to Danubio FC, where he played 34 league games in the 2001 season, in which he scored a personal goal. The engagement with the club from Montevideo ended in mid-2002. After that, a further career station at the Racing Club de Montevideo was only recorded for him from July 2005 , during which he won 19 more times in the seasons 2005/06 and 2006/07 (no goal ) was used in the Segunda División . In the 2007/08 season he is listed as a player for Club Atlético Rentistas .
National team
Moas made his debut on September 27, 1988 in the Uruguayan senior team . Since his third international match at the latest, he has led the team as captain several times. He took part with the "Celeste" at the Copa America 1991 , where he was used in four tournament games. He was also part of the Uruguayan squad at the South American continental tournament in 1993 and also ran four times in the competition. In 1995 he finally won the Copa America with the Uruguayan squad supervised by Héctor Núñez and contributed to it with six tournament appearances. For the Copa América 1997 he was nominated again and played as captain of the "Celeste" all three games of the preliminary round, after which Uruguay was eliminated from the competition. In about a month after Uruguay's elimination on July 20, 1997, the World Cup qualifier against Bolivia, which was lost 1-0, Moas then played his last of a total of 48 international matches. Roque Máspoli was Uruguay's national coach at the time. He did not score an international goal in the course of his career.
