Élizabeth (Clémentine Madeleine) Bourgine (born March 20, 1957 in Levallois-Perret in the Hauts-de-Seine department ) is a French actress. She is best known to German audiences for the role of Catherine Bordey in the television series Death in Paradise .
Life
Bourgine attended the L'Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts and the Conservatoire d'Art Dramatique in Rennes . Here she met Jacques Weber and Francis Huster , who then offered her smaller roles. As a result, she started her career as a dancer (classical, modern, jazz), as a model and as an actress in theater, television and film. Her first roles were in student films in the late 1970s.
Private
Bourgine is married to the French director, actor and screenwriter Jean-Luc Miesch. The couple has a son named Jules. In addition to her hobby horse riding, the actress also plays the piano. In addition to her mother tongue, she speaks English and Spanish.
