Émile Charles Dameron
Émile-Charles Dameron (actually Charles Émile Jean Dameron, born May 20, 1848 in Paris , † January 21, 1908 there ) was a French painter.
Émile Dameron was a student of Léon Germain Pelouse and Constant Troyon . He settled in Pont-Aven , where later an artists' colony and a painting school named after Pont-Aven arose. He also painted in the Breton towns of Clisson and Dinard and in Concarneau .
His painting resembled the Barbizon school . He was a fan of natural open - air painting . He exhibited his works from 1872 to 1907 in the Salon of the Société des Artistes Français and was awarded several medals.
He died on January 21, 1908 in the Oudinot Clinic in Paris and was buried in the Montparnasse Cemetery.
He was made a Knight of the Legion of Honor in 1897.
