Émile Daeschner

Nosky Georges Henri Émile Daeschner (born January 3, 1863 , † 1928 ) was a French diplomat, most recently with the rank of ambassador . In 1925 he represented his country in the USA .

Life

Émile Daeschner entered the diplomatic service in 1895 .

Daeschner headed the government cabinets of Maurice Rouvier and that of Léon Bourgeois and was the French ambassador in Bucharest in 1920 . At the end of January 1925, Émile Daeschner presented his letter of accreditation to Calvin Coolidge .

At the Washington Naval Conference from November 12, 1921 to February 6, 1922, two treaties on conduct towards China were signed. The French parliament was the last to ratify the treaties and Emil Daeschner deposited two international treaties from nine countries together with the ambassadors from Japan, Italy, Great Britain, Belgium, the Netherlands, the USA and China in mid-August 1925.

On September 24, 1925, he accompanied Pierre de Chambrun , who negotiated with Joseph Caillaux with the US Treasury Secretary Andrew W. Mellon about a rescheduling of payment obligations from the First World War.

Émile Däschner received an honorary doctorate from the Faculty in 1925 Law of Syracuse University and became an honorary member of the New York State Society of the Cincinnati .
