Émile Proulx-Cloutier (* 1983 in Montreal , Québec ) is a Canadian actor , film director and screenwriter .

Life and accomplishments

Émile Proulx-Cloutier is the son of actors Danielle Proulx and Raymond Cloutier, who were married from 1973 to 1987. He is the cousin of actress Catherine Proulx-Lemay. In Montreal, he studied film studies at the Collège Ahuntsic and acting at the Conservatoire d'art dramatique .

As an actor, he appeared in French-language films and television series. He made his directorial debut in the French-language drama Papa (2005). In this short film , he also acted for the first time as a screenwriter, cameraman, film editor and music composer. The film received the Québec Iles-de-la-Madeleine Young Talent Award in 2004 and a Prix ​​Jutra in the Best Short Film category in 2005 .
