Danielle Proulx
Danielle Proulx (born October 12, 1952 in Montréal , Québec ) is a Canadian actress .
Life and accomplishments
She was married to actor Raymond Cloutier from 1973 to 1987. Her son Émile Proulx-Cloutier (* 1983) is an actor. Danielle Proulx's niece, Catherine Proulx-Lemay, also works in the acting profession.
In 1989, Danielle Proulx received the Best Actress Award for Forbidden Experiments ( Portion d'éternité ) at the Montréal World Film Festival . In 1991 she received a Genie Award for Best Supporting Actress for Amoureux fou - Eine Verrückte Liebe . In 2006 she won the Prix Jutra , the 26th Genie Awards and the Vancouver Film Critics Circle , each for best supporting actress for the film CRAZY . This film drama by director Jean-Marc Vallée has won numerous awards in Canada.
Proulx was named President of the annual Prix Jutra Awards in 2008. Before her, the actor Michel Côté held this position.
