Life
Jeaurat was a student of Nicolas Vleughels , who took him to Rome in 1724. He began with mythological images, but later turned mainly to contemporary moral images . In the pictures he described the lively Parisian streetscape of the 18th century. Some of his still lifes are reminiscent of Jean Siméon Chardin .
