The steam locomotive series kkStB 271 were freight train locomotives with tender of the kk state railways , which originally came from the Austrian Northwest Railway (ÖNWB).

The south-north German connecting line belonging to the ÖNWB ordered six type D freight locomotives from the Floridsdorf locomotive factory for the mountain routes between Schwadowitz and Liebau and between Reichenberg and Seidenberg . The machines were delivered to the ÖNWB in 1872 , were given the numbers 301–306 and formed the VI series  . They also had the names "CARL IV.", "MARIA THERESIA", "JOSEF II.", "GOTTFRIED SOMMER", "SENEFELDER" and "ROTTECK". They were similar to the southern series  35 , but weaker than this.

Towards the end of their careers, the locomotives were used in Josefstadt .

After the nationalization, the kkStB classified it as series  271 .

Locomotive 271.03 was already retired in 1915. After the First World War , the others came to the Czechoslovak State Railways ČSD. Four of them were classified as series 411.1 from 1924 . The four remaining machines were taken out of service by 1944 .
