Ödlend (until 1961 Oedlend) was a district of the municipality of Rattenberg in the district of Straubing-Bogen . Today the place is assigned to the district Redlmühl .

The place is to the right of the Klinglbach on the SR 37 district road .

history

Oedlend belonged to the district court Mitterfels and to the parish of Rattenberg. Until 1970 the wasteland was part of the former community of Siegersdorf , which was incorporated into Rattenberg.

Spelling of names

A map from around 1829 describes the place Elend . The spelling of the place name in the period from 1838 to 1950 was Oedlend , with the exception of the registers of the diocese of Regensburg from 1860 and 1916, in which Oedlendt was used. From the 1961 census, "Oe" was replaced by the umlaut "Ö", meaning Ödlend .
