Ørskog was a municipality in the Norwegian Fylke Møre og Romsdal . The administrative center of the municipality was Sjøholt. As part of the municipal reform in Norway , Ørskog, Haram , Sandøy and Skodje were merged with Ålesund , the largest city in Møre og Romsdal, on January 1, 2020 .

The north-south extension of the municipality was 14.6 kilometers and the east-west extension 22.1 kilometers. 2250 inhabitants lived in an area of ​​129.5 km² (as of January 1, 2019). The population density was 17 people per square kilometer. The municipality number was 1523.

Neighboring municipalities were Skodje, Stordal , Sykkylven and Vestnes .
