Stordal
Stordal is a place and a former municipality in the Norwegian Fylke Møre og Romsdal . The administrative center of the municipality was Stordal. As part of the local government reform in Norway , Stordal and Norddal were merged to form the municipality of Fjord on January 1, 2020 .
The municipality expanded in north-south direction 17.3 kilometers and in east-west direction 26.2 kilometers. 947 people lived in the municipality (as of January 1, 2019) on an area of around 249 square kilometers. The highest point was the 1495 meter high Garretind . The municipality number was 1526.
Neighboring municipalities were Norddal, Ørskog , Rauma , Stranda , Sykkylven and Vestnes .
