Østensjø (dt. Östensjö ) is a southeastern district of the Norwegian capital Oslo . The district has 50,806 inhabitants (2020) and an area of ​​12.24 km². It borders the Østmarka and is a popular excursion area for the residents of Oslo and Lørenskog .

Østensjø consists of the satellite towns of Oppsal , Bøler , Bogerud , Abildsø , Manglerud and Høyenhall , all of which are located around Lake Østensjø . Østensjøsee has been a nature reserve since 1992.
