Say
Sagene is a northern district of the Norwegian capital Oslo . It has 45,089 inhabitants (2020) and an area of 3.1 km². The district lies along the Akerselva (Aker River); The district got its name from the sawmills and mills that were previously located here. Until the regional reform of January 1, 2004, the district was known as Sagene-Torshov. Sagene is immortalized in the novels of Oskar Braaten .
