Over seven bridges is a musical in two acts that, based on music from the GDR , tells a love story at the time of the fall of the Berlin Wall . Wolfgang Liebisch had the idea for this musical. On December 10, 2010, he accepted the city of Stendal's culture award for the musical .

action

first act

1989 - a hot summer. The Baltic Sea beaches are overcrowded. Nicole is an ice cream seller, her boyfriend Tommy is a musician. You are considering fleeing to the West. Micha (from West Berlin ) and Peter (from Dresden ) want to smuggle them to the West. It works with Tommy, but not with Nicole.

Second act

Nicole in the east of Berlin is lonely, as is Tommy in the west of Berlin. But the citizens' movement creates the incomprehensible, the wall falls and the GDR citizens can enjoy their freedom. All Germans celebrate euphorically, Tommy and Nicole are also reunited.

The musical includes songs by Karat , Puhdys , Veronika Fischer , Silly , Wolfgang Lippert , Nina Hagen and other GDR interpreters and composers.

The line-up in cooperation with various clubs is special. The cast is made up of professionals and amateur actors. The associations Hansebund-Stendal e. V., Kunstplatte e. V., Open Canal Stendal e. V. and the KTSC Treuer Husar Heeren e. V. contributed to the implementation of the play.
