The steam locomotive series kkStB 260 was a series of freight trains with a tender of the kkStB , which originally came from the KFNB .
history
In 1893, KFNB ordered 12 type 1C freight locomotives from Wiener Neustädter Lokomotivfabrik . There were 6 twin locomotives and 6 compound machines each. Tests showed that the compound machines were superior to the twin machines. Therefore, only more composite locomotives of this series were re-ordered. The follow-up orders were made on the one hand by the KFNB and on the other hand by the kkStB after the KFNB had been nationalized. A total of 221 machines had been procured by 1908 . They were not only built by Wiener Neustadt , but also by Floridsdorf and the StEG and BMMF locomotive factories . At the KFNB they belonged to Row VIII and had the numbers 525-745 . At the kkStB the locomotives formed the series 260 , with the twin engines receiving the numbers 260.01-06 and the compound locomotives the numbers 260.10-225.
After the First World War , 122 pieces came to the ČSD as series 333.1 , 62 pieces as the Ti11 series to the PKP and 3 came to the SHS state railway as the later JDŽ 130-001–003 . After deducting the war losses, only 26 remained that came to the BBÖ .
In 1938 there were only seven left, which the Deutsche Reichsbahn classified as 54.101–107 . With the cession of the Sudeten areas, another 19 pieces came to the DR ( 54,108–126 ). In the course of the fighting, 27 Polish machines of this type came to the DR as 54.141–167 . The missing serial numbers 127–140 were intended for locomotives from the Olsa area , but were never classified because the machines were handed over to the Protectorate Railways.
After the Second World War, the Austrian state railways only had two units in this series. In the new numbering scheme of the ÖBB from 1953, only the ÖBB 154.106 appears. It was already collected in 1954.
The ČSD decommissioned its locomotives until 1964.
