The ČSD series EM 410.0 was an electric railcar of the local Tábor-Bechyně , which was created as a replacement for a destroyed railcar of the M 400.0 series and was only in service on the aforementioned local railway. The vehicle was manufactured by Královopolská , Brno ( car body ) and Škoda , Plzeň (electrical equipment).
history
For decades, all traffic on the local Tábor-Bechyně line was carried out by 4 electric multiple units of the M 400.0 series . In 1937 the M 400.004 was destroyed by fire, and so a replacement vehicle was created in 1941.
With the remaining M 400.0, this vehicle continued to handle all traffic on the route, and that until 1956, when 2 vehicles of the E 422.0 series were delivered to Tábor . After 1962, when the Prague node was converted to 3 kV direct current, 2 locomotives of the E 436.0 series and one E 424.0 locomotive were delivered to Tábor. When new E 426.0 series locomotives appeared on the line around 1973 , the EM 410.001 was retired.
technical features
The vehicle had the same bogies and traction motors as the renewed vehicles of the M 400.0 series , so that they could be exchanged for both sides. With the same center distance of the bogies, the entire wheel base was increased to 11,000 mm. The total length was also increased to 15,000 mm.
The car body was a sheet metal box construction from the outside and was divided up in the same way as in the sample vehicles . 1 compartment of the former 2nd class had 8 seats, and 2 compartments of the former 3rd class had a total of 40 seats. The luggage compartment was also available.
