Świętno (German Schwenten ) is a village with about 1000 inhabitants in Poland . It belongs to the municipality Wolsztyn in the powiat Wolsztyński , Greater Poland Voivodeship and is located twelve kilometers southeast of Wolsztyn in the forest of Świętno ( leśnictwo Świętno ).
Between January and August 1919 the village was independent as the Free State of Schwenten .
