Şamil Ünal (born August 23, 1986 in Bruchsal ) is a Turkish football player .
Career
Ünal was born in Bruchsal as the son of Turkish guest workers and moved back to Turkey with his family as a child. Here he began with club football in the youth of Çolaklıspor and then went to the youth of Antalyaspor . In 2004 he got a professional contract, but continued to play mainly for the youth and reserve team. He only made his professional debut in a second division game. For the second half of the 2004/05 season he was loaned to Akseki Aroma Genç SK .
In the summer of 2005 he left Antalyaspor and played the following years for various clubs in the lower Turkish professional leagues.
In the summer of 2007 he moved to the first division club Sivasspor and took part in the season preparation camp. After that camp, he was sorted out by the coaching staff and put on the list of players to be loaned out. So Ünal played one season at Zeytinburnuspor and two at Tokatspor as a loan player .
In the summer of 2010 he moved to the third division team İskenderun Demir Çelikspor and a year later to the second division Göztepe Izmir . After Göztepe missed relegation, Ünal moved within the league to promoted Kahramanmaraşspor . During the next winter break, he left the club for the third division Alanyaspor .
In November 2014 he moved to Aydınspor 1923 .
