Şaziye Erdoğan

Şaziye Erdoğan , born as Şaziye Okur, (born February 23, 1992 in Ankara ) is a Turkish weightlifter .

Career

She was European Youth Champion in 2007, 2008 and 2009 and World Youth Champion in 2009. In 2009 and 2010 she won the title at the European Junior Championships. She also became junior vice world champion in 2010. In 2010 she took part in the European Championships for the first time. In Minsk she won the bronze medal in the 48 kg class. In 2011 Okur was second at the Junior European Championships and third at the Junior World Championships. At the U23 European Championships in 2013, however, she was tested positive for stanozolol during doping control and was banned for two years. After her suspension, she became European and world champion in the class up to 45 kg in 2019 .
