Šipkovica (Macedonian Шипковица , Albanian Shipkovica / Shipkovicë ) is a village near Tetovo in northern North Macedonia . It belongs to the Tetovo municipality and has about 2800 inhabitants.

The village of Šipkovica stretches along a slope that joins the Šar Planina mountain range in the north, which is over 2700 meters high . There is the border to Kosovo . The place was one of the main headquarters of the Albanian resistance during the clashes between the Albanian UÇK in Macedonia and the Macedonian government. Šipkovica was one of the first villages in Macedonia to be controlled by the KLA since March 2001 and therefore shelled.

The census carried out in 2002 found 2826 inhabitants for Šipkovica, including 2817 (99.68%) Albanians . The municipality of Šipkovica, which existed until 2004, comprised five other villages and had a total of 7820 inhabitants with an Albanian majority of 7782 people or 99.51%.
