The Šlingova Mýť (Schlindelhau) is a wooded hill west of Svatý Kříž (Holy Cross) in northern Bohemia . The summit lies at 549 m nm in the middle of the Svatokřížský les (Heiligenkreuzwald) in the Czech part of the Kohlwald in the Fichtel Mountains .
geography
The second class road 214 runs southeast of the summit from Cheb (German: Eger ) to Waldsassen . To the northwest of the mountain, just on the border with Bavaria , was the now abandoned village of Šlingova Mýť (Schlindelhau).
In the geomorphological breakdown of the neighboring country of the Czech Republic , the Chebská pahorkatina (Eger hill country) is also assigned to the (High) Fichtel Mountains as the main unit Smrčiny (I3A-1).
history
In earlier years there was an important road to Eger on the south side.
