The Štiavnica is with 2025.3 m nm after the umbier the second highest mountain of the Low Tatras . It is located in the highest part of the mountains east of the Ďumbier, north of the Chata MR Štefánika ( MR Štefánik Refuge ).
The stream Štiavnica rises on the southern slope , which flows around the mountain in the east before it reaches the Janská dolina , at the end of which it flows into the Waag .
There are no marked paths leading up to the mountain, but it can be reached via the main ridge from Ďumbier.
