Žiga Golob (* 1973 in Kranj ) is a Slovenian jazz and studio musician ( double bass , bass guitar ).

Live and act

Golob was already working as a bass guitarist in a band at the age of ten. Later he was fascinated by the double bass; to learn it, he attended the music school in Ljubljana. He played with Lado Jakšo, Vlado Kreslin and with the RTV Slovenija big band before moving to Croatia. Since 1994 he has been part of Tamara Obrovac's ensemble; he also belonged to the Mildreds , the Matija Dedić Trio and the Trio Folkestra . In 2001 he recorded his solo album Show Your Legs to the Countryman . He also worked with Chris & Carla , Neca Falk, Klarisa Jovanović & Della Segodba, the Elvis Stanić Group, Severa Gjurin and the Fog Painters . As a studio musician, he is involved in more than 100 recordings.
