(2412) Wil is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on October 17, 1960 by the Dutch research team Cornelis Johannes van Houten , Ingrid van Houten-Groeneveld and Tom Gehrels as part of the Palomar-Leiden Survey .

The asteroid is named after the wife of the Dutch astronomer Hendrik Christoffel van de Hulst , after whom the asteroid (2413) van de Hulst was named.
