(2495) Noviomagum is an asteroid of the inner main belt that was discovered on October 17, 1960 by the Dutch research team Cornelis Johannes van Houten , Ingrid van Houten-Groeneveld and Tom Gehrels as part of the Palomar-Leiden Survey .
The asteroid was named after the Latin name of the Dutch city of Nijmegen .
