description

The ensemble includes all buildings along the Springfield cul-de-sac . The house numbers 1 to 6 and 24 to 32 were completed around 1846. The ensemble was completed by 1851. The terraced row houses are designed in a classical style. Only the semi-detached house at the head of the cul-de-sac is free-standing.

The house numbers 5 to 14 on the west side and 18 to 27 on the east side are set up in pairs with mirror symmetry, with the exception of later changes. The facades of the two-story houses are three axes wide. In pairs, two small portico with Doric columns emerge in the middle, which are led through. The wrought or cast iron balustrades of the perched balconies are missing in most of the buildings. The windows on the ground floor are simply crowned . Stone balustrades run on the final cornice .

House numbers 17 and 28 (the first and last house on the east side) are not paired. Your portico is on the left. The semi-detached house (number 15–16) does not have a separate portico, but rather a colonnade along the entire facade. House numbers 1 to 4 and 29 to 32 are the continuation of the ensemble along Perth Road .
