2-Amino-1- (3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl) butane , and 1- (1,3- B enzo d ioxol-5-yl) -2- b called utylamin (BDB), the next higher homologue of MDA and N- desmethyl analogue of MBDB . Structurally, BDB belongs to the group of phenylalkylamines .
synthesis
BDB was synthesized by David Nichols and Alexander Shulgin and examined by the latter for its psychoactive properties. It can be produced from piperonal and nitropropane, the condensation product is then hydrogenated. Another variant is described under PIHKAL .
Pharmacological properties
Pharmacokinetics
The effective dose is in the range from 150 to 230 mg, the duration of action is 4-8 hours, the effect begins after about 30 minutes.
effect
BDB has an entactogenic and slightly empathogenic effect. It is described as a bit more “stoning” ( stoning ) than MDMA - comparable to MDA.
Like many other psychoactive substances, BDB also carries the risk of triggering a latent psychosis . Side effects such as teeth grinding and nystagmus have rarely been reported.
Legal status
In the Federal Republic of Germany, BDB is a non-marketable narcotic due to its listing in Appendix I BtMG . Handling without permission is generally a criminal offense. Further information can be found in the main article Narcotics Law in Germany .
