1st Bundesliga archery

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 1st Bundesliga archery is the top competition class of the German Schützenbund in team archery with the recurve bow (other archery disciplines are not considered by the DSB here). It was first held in 1997.

From the three regional leagues north, east and west, the top two with the highest set difference will be promoted to the 2. Bundesliga north.

Substructure

There are five regional leagues below the 2nd Bundesliga. The three regional leagues north, east and west form the substructure of the 2. Bundesliga north, for the 2. Bundesliga south these are the two regional leagues south-west and south. There are numerous national, district, district and association leagues.

Competition mode

The bow Bundesliga season consists of four days of competition, which are spread over the winter season between November and February, and the final of the German championship in February or March. The competitions are held in sports halls. As part of one of these competition days, encounters (so-called matches) take place between all eight teams, so there are seven matches for each team. Accordingly, a total of 28 matches per northern and southern league take place on each competition day. In order not to give any team a tactical advantage, the teams compete at the same time as their encounters, so that four matches are fought in parallel. Immediately before each encounter, three shooters per team must be nominated to play the match. A change during an ongoing encounter for health or technical reasons is not permitted.

Sentence system

In Germany, a match is held in ends with a duration of 120 seconds, during which each shooter has to shoot two arrows. This is made more difficult by the fact that only one shooter is allowed to shoot at a time. The targets are located at a distance of 18 m and consist of concentric circles with a rating of 6 to 10 rings (points) and a total diameter of 20 cm. There are six such targets on each disc, arranged in two columns of three targets each. After the pass, a maximum of one arrow may be in each target. A team can therefore reach a maximum of 60 rings in one end.

Since the 2014/15 season, the recurve area has been used to shoot matches using the set system, which is similar to the tennis system . One sentence denotes a yoke. After each pass, the rings of this one pass are counted, the set is won by the team with the higher number of rings. She receives two sentence points, in the event of a tie (tie), each team receives one sentence point. The rings only apply to that one sentence. The match is won by the team that reaches six set points first, this can be the case after three sets at the earliest. This team receives two match points. Since a maximum of five sets are shot per match, a 5: 5 based on set points is also possible, so the match ends in a draw and both teams receive one match point each.

The table is sorted according to the match points achieved and then according to the difference in set points. After the four days of competition in a season, a team can achieve a maximum of 56 match points, the maximum set point difference is therefore +168.

Examples

1) If team A wins three sets in a row against team B in a match, team A has 6: 0 set points after these three sets and thus wins the match with 2: 0 match points and a set point difference of +6.

Team B wins the match with 2-0 match points, as it has reached six set points first. From the 7: 3 set points for team B, a set point difference of +4 is calculated for team B. Accordingly, team A loses with 0: 2 match points and a set point difference of −4. The total number of rings shot by team A is 261 rings higher than the 258 rings by team B, but only the rings in the set play a role.

German championship

The best four teams in the Bundesliga group north and south take part in the final round of the German championship of the DSB. In a group phase, the first and third of one Bundesliga group fight with the second and fourth of the other Bundesliga group to make it to the semi-finals of the best four. The final winner will be the German team champion in the indoor season. The current record champion with five titles is the Schützengilde Welzheim .

In 2016, the final was hosted by the German Shooting Federation itself for the first time. It took place in Wiesbaden in the hall at Platz der Deutschen Einheit and will also be held there in 2017 and 2018.
