The local hero and defending champion Ronny Lindemann won. For professional reasons, Lindemann did not join the tournament until the afternoon of the second match day, with the agreement of the tournament management and the other players. That's why he only qualified second for the main round in the group stage. The Regensburg Roman Bachmeier caused some problems for Lindemann in the quarter-finals, but ultimately lost to the Witten with 19:25. Dustin Jäschke, who played for BSG Duisburg and was able to leave Lindemann behind in the group phase, was left behind in the semifinals and lost 13:25. In this game Lindemann set a new tournament record with a general average (GD) of 2.083. At the same time he played the highest series (HS) of the tournament with 10 points. With the Oberhausen Ramazan Durdu, one of the strongest opponents waited for national player Lindemann in the final. Lindemann also won this game 25:24 with a one-point lead, so very close. Dustin Jäschke and Sven Daske were joint thirds. Ramazan Durdu achieved the best overall average of the tournament with 1.452.
